So snuggle up on the sofa, have some wine and cookies within grabbing distance and enjoy these absolutely best Christmas movies!
Our favourite Christmas movies
It’s quite impossible to make a definite list of all of our favourites, so we’ve decided to stick to three movies that we believe that every person should see at least once in December. Every December. May we suggest that you add to this list; Sissi, Mary Poppins, Harry Potter 1, Babe 1&2, Free Willy, A Christmas Carol (the original one), Charlie & the Chocolate factory (also the original one), Edward Scissorhands, Home Alone 1&2, The Gremlins and last but not least Bridget Jones’ Diary.
- The Sound of Music
This classic musical is one of our top favourites! Julie Andrews is a free spirited Austrian nun, who actually isn’t very good at being one. She gets kicked out of the Abbey and becomes a nanny for the seven children of the Von Trapp family. Whilst in the beginning, handsome Captain Von Trapp isn’t very charmed by Maria (Julie Andrews), he later falls in love with her and they become one big, happy family.
- It’s a wonderful life
This movie is about George Bailey, a man who has given up his dreams in order to help others. He tried to commit suicide on Christmas Eve, but doesn’t get to it because of his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody. Clarence shows George all the lives he has touched and how different life in his community of Bedford Falls would be had he never been born.
- The Holiday
Hello, Jude Law! In this romantic comedy, Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet swap homes for two weeks over the holidays. Cameron get swiped off her feet by Jude Law’s sexy accent and well, you just see for yourselves!
